Dr. Bruce X.B. Yu is an Assistant Professor in ZJU-UIUC Institute at Zhejiang University. His research expertise spans across big data analytics, artificial intelligence, and computer vision. His primary research topic is vision-based human behavior understanding, leading to publications on top venues such as IEEE TPAMI, ACM CSUR, Pattern Recognition, ICCV, AAAI, and IJCAI. His research outcomes got international recognition such as best paper and best presentation awards. Before joining ZJU, he was a Post-doc Fellow in Prof. Chang Wen Chen’s CHENLab at the Department of Computing of The Hong Kong Polytechnic University where he earned his Ph.D. under the supervision of Prof. Yan Liu and Prof. Keith C.C. Chan. In the fall semester of 2024, he was a visiting scholar in Prof. Viktor Gruev’s Biosensors lab at UIUC.
